This is vintage ocean science at its most wearable — moody, richly detailed, and impossible to ignore. Kelp Calm and Coral On rescues centuries-old marine illustrations from dusty scientific archives and Splash'd® them across swimwear where they were always meant to be.
The seaweed comes from Murray's Seaweeds, an 1895 scientific publication, and the fish are engravings by German physician and naturalist Marcus Elieser Bloch from the 1700s. Two very serious scientists, completely obsessed with the ocean, and absolutely no idea what we were about to do with their work.
